Béja, the capital of the governorate with the same name, is a city rich in history and culture. Located about 100 km from Tunis, it is surrounded by green hills and fertile plains.

  • Agriculture: Béja is often called the "granary of Tunisia" because it is one of the main producers of cereals, especially wheat and barley. Livestock farming is also thriving in the region.
  • Agri-Food Industry: The area is famous for its processed agricultural products, including cheeses and olive oil.
